Rare unit with this low serial number. If you are familiar with Jackson USA and the early Professional model guitars and have ever played them side by side, the Japan models are every bit on par with the USA models. This Rhoads Professional has been lightly played over the years and has spent most of it's life in the original factory case. I've had this since the mid 90's and it has never been gigged. Guitar has no former repairs.

This guitar was played very rarely over the years. About five years ago I thought I was going to play it more and had it professionally set-up, had new Jackson tuners and strings installed. Guitar plays like butter, super smooth low action with no buzz. Easy access to the entire fretboard makes this a shredders dream.

Tremelo is set-up properly and works great with the locking nut. Neck through 22 fret construction, neck and fretboard are sweet on this guitar. Frets are nice, binding is very nice and the quality show. Shark Fin inlays, binding, and headstock inlays are very nice and the craftsmanship is evident. The Jackson dual humbuckers sound great. All original: (tuners were replaced with USA Jackson tuners) Quarter sawn maple neck with Poplar wings, ebony fretboard. Jackson brand J50 Pickups with active electronics: (9V battery inside the pick guard will need to be replaced)JT-590 Schaller (Floyd Rose) Locking TremeloJackson tuners were replaced with USA Jackson tuners Guitar is in great condition for it's age.

Guitar has the normal indications of previous use. The plug seems to be pesky unless the cable is ran up through the strap, if allowed to hang down it occasionally cuts out (easy fitx). Despite being careful with this guitar, it has the all too common 'fin tip' dings/marks, no major damage. Small marks on headstock tip. Pics are included showing both ends.

Has some scratches near the Guitar strap button, a 1'x1/2' ding in the back (see pics) some belt buckle scratches on the rear spring cover, not really any to speak of on the body. Has a 3mm ding on the front near the pickguard where a plug tip hit. Has the normal pick marks from play, guitar should polish up nicely.

It normally just gets wiped down after play so a good detai/polish is in order. Guitar plays great and sounds even better. Please make no assumptions, I will answer all questions candidly about this unit, no surprises, I'm here to help. Original case is included. I stuck stickers all over it years ago, I eventually took them off leaving some ghosting of the stickers onto the case fabric. Case is in good shape with some normal wear, no major damage. Includes original tremelo bar.
